Mikrotik CCR1036-12G-4S-EM is a flagship Cloud Core Router (CCR) built for ISPs, enterprise networks, and data centers that demand extreme performance, high port density, and reliability. It is an upgraded version of the CCR1036 series, featuring enhanced memory and expandability for heavy workloads.
At its core, the router uses a powerful 36-core Tilera CPU (1.2GHz per core), delivering exceptional processing capability for routing, firewall, VPN, and large-scale traffic management.
The “EM” version stands out with 8GB RAM, making it significantly more capable of handling complex configurations, high connection counts, and advanced services compared to standard versions.
For connectivity, the device includes:
- 12 × Gigabit Ethernet ports
- 4 × SFP ports (1G fiber)
This combination allows flexible deployment across both copper and fiber networks, making it ideal for aggregation and backbone routing.
The router delivers up to ~24 million packets per second and ~16Gbps throughput, ensuring smooth performance even in high-traffic environments.
It runs MikroTik RouterOS (Level 6 license), offering enterprise-grade features such as:
- BGP, OSPF, MPLS
- VPN & firewall
- QoS & traffic shaping
