Mikrotik RB850Gx2 is a high-performance wired Gigabit Ethernet router designed for enterprise, ISP, and advanced networking environments. It is part of MikroTik’s RouterBOARD series and is known for delivering strong performance in a compact form factor.
This router features 5 × Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing high-speed wired connectivity for multiple devices such as switches, servers, and access points. It is ideal for environments where stable and fast wired networking is required without Wi-Fi.
Powered by a dual-core PowerPC CPU (533MHz) with 512MB RAM and 512MB NAND storage, the RB850Gx2 offers significantly improved performance compared to older models like the RB450G. This makes it capable of handling heavy routing, firewall, and traffic management tasks.
The device runs MikroTik’s advanced RouterOS (Level 5 license), providing enterprise-level features such as firewall, VPN, QoS, MPLS, routing protocols, and bandwidth management, making it suitable for professional network deployments.
It supports dual power input (DC jack and Passive PoE-in), ensuring flexible power options and redundancy for critical environments. Additionally, it includes features like temperature monitoring, voltage monitoring, and RS232 serial port, enhancing reliability and management capabilities.
With its compact industrial design, passive cooling, and low power consumption (~8W), the RB850Gx2 is built for continuous operation in demanding environments.
