Tenda TEF1109P 9 Port (8-Port PoE) 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch (63W)
In a complex monitoring environment, cabling and networking often present challenges, particularly regarding inadequate network transmission distances. The distance from each camera terminal to the monitoring center varies significantly; some are only a few meters away, while others may extend to hundreds or even thousands of meters
The Tenda TEF11 series PoE monitoring switches feature exclusive patented network extension technology that utilizes standard twisted pair cabling to support data transmission distances of up to 250 meters. This capability breaks the conventional limit of 100 meters associated with existing twisted pair cables. Additionally, the switches include a gigabit-linked SFP port, which allows for transmission over distances of several tens of kilometers.
In practical monitoring projects, cameras are often installed outdoors or at elevated positions, increasing the risk of lightning strikes affecting both the cameras and the PoE switches. Such incidents can lead to equipment damage and may even cripple the entire local area network (LAN). To address these concerns, Tenda TEF11 series switches are designed with professional lightning protection features, including a 6kV port and power supply protection. These enhancements effectively suppress lightning currents from both the network cables and the power supply, adding an extra layer of security to the entire network monitoring system. The testing standards for these protections exceed the requirements set by national CCC standards.
During thunderstorms, the monitoring network remains reliable and stable, ensuring continuous image transmission. Ports 1-8 of the switches support the IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af PoE standards, providing a maximum power supply of 30W per port and a total of 58W for the entire device.
